Master class on the topic: "Training and enlightening citizens in the field of protection of consumers' rights"

The Department of International Law of JSC "Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages" with the support of the International Public Foundation "ZHANASHYR" held a master class on the topic: "Training and enlightening citizens in the field of protection of consumers' rights" for teachers and students of educational programs "6B04202 International Law", "6B04201- Jurisprudence" on September 24, 2024, to implement measures aimed at ensuring the legal and social foundations for protecting the rights and legitimate interests of consumers.  

The program of the master class was devoted to the discussion of practical issues in the field of protection of consumers' rights, identifying the main measures and ways to prevent violations of consumer rights.

The participants of the master class were Kasymgaliyev Talgat Tanirbergenuly - a qualified lawyer in the field of consumer rights protection, Apetova Zhanyl Amantayevna - President of the International Public Foundation "ZHANASHYR", Sarsen Dariga Eltaykyzy - psychologist.

During the master class, experts talked about various tools aimed at increasing the level of legal literacy of citizens and forming an active position for making an informed and responsible choice, thus preventing the violation of consumer rights. The students and teachers were informed about possible institutional and regulatory mechanisms that ensure the protection of their legitimate interests in the event of situations that entail a violation of consumer rights.

During the master class, experts provided students with the opportunity to answer a number of problem-oriented situational questions, thus checking the level of their legal literacy. In general, the students were able to successfully demonstrate their acquired knowledge in the field of law when solving situational problems, referring to various legal sources.
