The Master's program in international relations of Kazakh Ablai khan University of International Relations and World Languages trains personnel for various international activities at the interstate, intergovernmental levels, as well as for working with foreign business structures.

The training of personnel in the magistracy is carried out in two directions: profile (1 year of study) and scientific and pedagogical (2 years of study). Full-time form of education.

The objectives of the educational program are the preparation of qualified masters of social sciences:

- training, taking into account the prospects for the development of the country, highly qualified scientific and pedagogical specialists who are in demand on the labor market;

- formation of systematized knowledge in the field of humanitarian disciplines and their application in scientific and pedagogical activities;

- formation of key and special competencies of masters with high social and civic responsibility, able to carry out professional activities;

- mastering the basics of research and experimental methods of observation and analysis of historical science by undergraduates;

- formation of universal and social and personal values ​​in the context of scientific thinking and worldview;

- formation of skills in the use of information and communication technologies for professional activities.

Undergraduates are engaged in research work, take part in scientific conferences and "round tables" of various levels, pass scientific internships and research practice in leading universities, research institutes and research and analytical centers. The educational program in International Relations has an agreement on strategic partnership with the Kazakhstan Center for Humanitarian and Political Conjuncture, the Alternative Research Center, as well as a branch of the regional public association "Association of Kazakh Diplomats". Under this agreement, the parties organize joint activities in order to establish cooperation in terms of organizing the educational process, internships and employment of postgraduate graduates.

The training is conducted in English.

Undergraduates study disciplines in modules:

- Module 1. General humanitarian bases of professional training of masters

- Module 2. Methodology and conceptual foundations of research activities

- Module 3. Theoretical and practical foundations of training in a professional foreign language

- Module 4. Digital education in the context of international and regional cooperation

- Module 5. The New World order in the system of international law/Geo-economic processes of modernity and new paradigms of economic security (Minor)

- Module 6. Modern technologies for the study of historical and modern processes

The Minor block provides for additional specialization of the undergraduate beyond the framework of "International Relations", mainly in the form of two free courses such as: "The New World Order in the system of international law", "Geo-economic processes of modernity and new paradigms of economic security".

The professorial and teaching staff of the Master's degree program in International Relations of the Ablai khan University are professionals with international experience, who have the highest academic degree: doctors of sciences from leading world universities, professors, candidates of sciences, associate professors with extensive experience in scientific and pedagogical work, as well as invited foreign teachers.

The sphere of professional activity is foreign policy activity, interstate cooperation, research activity, teaching.

The objects of professional activity are: international organizations, higher education institutions, think tanks, research centers, etc.

Upon completion of the educational program, a master student is awarded a degree - a master of social sciences in the educational program "International Relations".

Graduate of the Master's Degree in International Relations:

- is able to determine changes in the international arena and the formation of a new system of regions, international relations and international law;

- knows the main stages of the theoretical origins and conceptual foundations of regions, international relations and international law;

- understands the main problems of the globalization process and the complication of relationships between countries and peoples, the interweaving of national and supranational principles;

- possesses the skills of practical use of grammatical skills of a foreign language, differentiation of vocabulary by areas of application: general scientific, official and diplomatic.

Graduates of the Master's program in international relations of the Kazakh Ablai khan University of International Relations and World Languages can work in the following areas: diplomacy, consulting on international cooperation, regional studies, geopolitics - in public and private enterprises, governmental, non-governmental, transnational companies and coordinating various international projects. Also, graduates of the program can continue their careers in various structures of international organizations.
